Who was Alan Turing?

Alan Turing was born in London, England. He was considered by many to be the "Father" of the computer. He worked as a code breaker during WWII in Bletchley, Park the GCCS wartime station. Turing then moved back to London in the 1940's for the National Physical Lab and there he created a blueprint for a Automatic Computing Engine and he was the lead designer. Although his engine was never completed, his model was used by many and influenced the creation of English Electric DEUCE, or the first personal computer. Turing went on to hold high position in the computing labratory at University of Manchester.
